You are all
Arms
Legs and
Hunger.
I know I shouldn’t tease- BUT
Your searching mouth
Is kisses on my cheek,
And my whole being is consumed with
Catching hints of
Your milk-sweet breath.
You are all

I know I shouldn’t tease- BUT
Your searching mouth

And my whole being is consumed with
Catching hints of

I am h e a v y
On my feet and your mind-
Heavy with a
Promise and a
Debt.
I’ve tried a hundred times (ok, on “paper”- maybe four. Fine, once!) to do a witty blog introduction. However, I’ve decided- firmly! questioningly?- that what I do best, I do naturally (although it still takes hard work, revisions, and occasionally ruthless destruction!). I instead found myself trying to speak with someone else’s voice.
I’ve always adhered to the maxim that brevity is the soul of wit, so here: I’m Sarah, I’m Catholic, I have lots of thoughts and feelings, and I’ve always written poetry with them. Welcome to my attempt to contribute to- instead of merely consume-the interwebs.
